Presented an analysis of automated facial recognition in Brazil, examining its implications for privacy, discrimination, surveillance, and the role of social countermovements in contesting the expansion of high-risk AI systems.
State Court of Justice of Minas Gerais, Brazil
Between 2021 and 2023, I conducted several design thinking workshops with magistrates, judges, court clerks, and administrative staff at the State Court of Justice of Minas Gerais. These workshops mapped institutional and procedural problems, translated them into practical requirements, and supported the implementation of technologies aimed at improving judicial services, internal workflows, usability, and access to justice.
